Effective July 2026
By downloading or using Belong Italy you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Belong Italy is made by Jordi Fakiani López, a sole trader based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Belong Italy is a personal tracker. It helps you see your own distance to Italian citizenship by organising the information you enter against published rules, and it splits that distance into the part you control and the part you do not.
This is the most important term. Belong Italy is an information tool, not a lawyer and not an authority. The estimates, dates and statuses it shows are based on published rules as of a stated date. Those rules change, sometimes with little notice and sometimes in ways that affect applications already in progress, as Italy's 2025 reform of citizenship by descent showed. Belong Italy can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Nothing in the app is legal advice and nothing in it is a promise about whether or when you will qualify for citizenship or residence. Before you make any decision, verify your situation with the responsible authority. In Italy that is the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministero dell'Interno, which decides citizenship applications through your local prefecture, the Prefettura; your municipality's registry office, the anagrafe, for the residence record itself; your local police headquarters, the Questura, for residence permits; and the recognised certifying bodies, CILS, CELI, PLIDA and CERT.IT, for the B1 language certificate. You can also speak with a qualified adviser or an immigration lawyer. You use Belong Italy at your own risk and you are responsible for any decision you make.
Belong Italy is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, current or free of errors, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted. The rules it reflects are summaries of complex law and they are not a substitute for the official sources.
To the extent the law allows, Jordi Fakiani López is not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of Belong Italy or from any reliance on the information it shows, including any decision about residence, citizenship, travel, work or money. Your sole remedy if you are unhappy with the app is to stop using it and cancel any subscription.
Use Belong Italy for your own personal, lawful purposes. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or its content.
Belong Italy, its name, design and content are owned by Jordi Fakiani López. These terms do not give you any ownership of the app. The news shown on the News tab consists of official publications of the Italian government's Portale Integrazione Migranti, reused as public sector information with attribution, and each story links to the original at integrazionemigranti.gov.it.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of Denmark. If you use Belong Italy as a consumer, this does not remove the protection of any mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
